agreed. Have you ever practiced 3x3 without inspection? I imagine that would help in 5x5x5 (unless you use some sort of yau method).
i havenāt specifically practiced it. But my cross is pretty good on 5x5. I can make crosses quite often even

There has only been 30 people ever to get a sub 1 single on 5x5 in a wca competition. 30 people!!!
I feel like its going from 10 seconds to 3 seconds on 2x2. Going from 3 seconds to 2 seconds seems harder.
But I guess its all preference.
But donāt you feel like you start massively slowing down as you approach sub 1???
Idk lol
how many people have gotten sub-5? But, yeah, I understand where youāre coming from.
edit: whoops you said 2x2
i get what you mean and the last ten would be harder than the previous 10 for sure. But 47 seconds is a lot to make up.
I know guys that have gotten sub 1 singles after a few months of becoming serious about 5x5. And I certainly wouldnāt compare a sub 2 5x5 single to sub 10 on 2x2.
what zbll cases are good to learn?
I like Lās the best cp recognize is super easy and ep isnāt to bad. After that Tās and Uās arenāt too bad. H has less algs but bad recognition. Most 2glls are nice to know as well.
thanks
I think Iām faster on stackmat than keyboard now.
Iāve been trying to learn some 5 cycles. Itās not actually too complicated.
is there an algorithm making site? That would be really helpful.
Cube explorer.
that has to be downloaded though, right? Iām using linux, not windows, if that means anything to you. Soā¦ does it still work?
edit: never mind. Got my brother to do it for meā¦ second edit: or not
Oh yeah. I donāt know but another one is ksolve+. That might also have to be downloaded though
I got it working, but just on a different computer. I donāt have access to the computer all the time, but thatās okay. Btw, is it possible to point out a certain move (such as M slices) without narrowing it down to anything?
Iām just trying to figure out certain commutators. Did any of that make sense?
not sure if i get what you mean. you can filter out certain moves if thats what you mean. im not sure if cube explorer allows slices, havent been on it in a while.
oh. Yeah it allows slices. I just wish there was something that involved set up moves. Iām trying to figure out some 5 cycles, but the intuitional 5 cycles are longer than the computed ones. Itās like 5 more moves per cycle.
This is driving me crazy. Seriously, has no one ever thought of a 5 cycle before? I canāt find even the slightest hint of that anywhere.
Could you try to help me with this?
M B Eā Bā M F Mā B E Bā Mā Fā
Iām trying to figure out if thereās any intuition behind this. And how I can figure this out with similar enough cases.
