Cubing Corner

I’m not trying to be a downer, but what did you come up with? There are a lot of methods people have never heard of. I almost guarantee it isn’t original. I tried to make a method a while back… I actually came up with roux…

Put all corners in the right spots according to two opposite sides, then orient them, insert edges into one side, insert edges into the other side, algorithm (ones I came up with) for the middle layer.

Now tell me that isn’t original lol

That’s a variation of corners first. Not original, trust me.

a variation still makes it different, at least a little, I just liked how i came up with that on my own really and even if there is a method similar, i still came up with this one. Not many people can just solve a rubik’s cube without being taught and come up with their “own method”.

I asked a yes or no question. I din’t ask you guys to open up a debate about it lol. Although it is true it’s really hard to come up with an original method.

Well it’s hard to come up with something that’s not already a thing lol, the only thing that really hasn’t been done is solving in the least number of moves (like reversing the scramble)

I’ve got some cubes I’d trade on my BST if anyone’s interested.

Best recorded time: 6 min 26 sec about.

it’s a start!

I just got a 9.70 ao5!

beat ur record by .04 seconds lol nice. was it on your weilong?

Yep lol.

I average about 40 seconds at the moment. Still haven’t got round to memorising all of Fridrichs OLL and PLL algorithms, my execution of algorithms is rather inefficient and my spotting on the F2L is rather aweful as well.

All things considered, I’m impressed I’m even managing 40 secs. :stuck_out_tongue:

Using a Zanchi at the moment, although I feel it may be a bit too fast for me as it feels a bit loose and easy to knock out of shape.

nice lol I want one

You don’t really need OLLs, it doesn’t help as much as PLLs, I still use two look OLL’s and average around 15 seconds.

For F2L, practice it slow, don’t time yourself, think of different and most efficient ways to insert each pair and from different angles. The slower you practice f2l, the more you will learn. You really need to observe and think.

And just tighten your tensions some, I’ve seen a lot of people loosen to get it faster, but the speed may make you worse, it’s better in most cases to have it more stable and it’ll still be fast enough.

Finally did intuitive F2L! Just figured it out on my own late at night lol

I would honestly tell you to pass the weilong. It’s amazing, and it’s my main, but it’s way too fast. I’m lucky to be able to control it, considering I reach 7-8tps frequently, but honestly most people can’t control it while turning fast.

Nice job! That’s how I got to where I am now.

dang it man, my PR is 9.77

I mean if I put lower viscosity lube in it, it shouldn’t be too fast but perform just as well.

Since I average 15 seconds, how much do you think learning full OLL’s will help me? a second or two?

So to get under 20 seconds do you need to memorize all F2l 41 algorithms? Or is it possible to do some intuitively?

I do all of mine intuitively, don’t memorize algorithms, it’s better to learn.
