What part of: âI am not criticizing them for it; but it is hype.â is not clear? Where are you being criticized when I specifically say that I am not criticizing you for marketing your yoyoâs? Or is saying that you are marketing (hyping) your yo-yoâs now a form of criticism?
That Mr. Brown chose to chime in with more passive-aggressive attacks by accusing me of insulting CLYW and OD because of knowledge that I did not possess is twisted reasoning at best.
My post only noted that creating a thread on YYE, about a product BEFORE you have any sort of information, is marketing or âhypeâ in yoyo-speak. If not marketing what else could it be? Gossip?
Now that we are seeing pictures, the marketing machine can kick into high gear. This looks like an interesting yoyo. I too, like the laser-art. Being an engineer, I may be the only one not impressed with a 5 day development job on a new product. But some of the worlds greatest ideas have started as scribbles on envelopes. One has to wonder what would come from a more intense and prolonged R&D effort, however.
Youâre right. They only designed it, prototyped it, tested it, made a full run, anodized them, designed the artwork, laser-engraved each one, and packaged them. It shouldâve taken 6 hours, tops.
Shucks, I wanted a side Puffect, or side Puffineffect. Iâm still excited enough about buying this.
Only 5 days? Pretty impressive. Working prototype videos? When can we expect a bigger release? Iâm going to go ahead and project that this baby will be in my hands sometime in April. What do you think of that?
