Google says Lionel Sterberger.

I like double bacon cheese burger with jalapeños.

YUS!!! JALAPINIOS ARE DA BEST. But spicy but still amazing

From watching plenty of ‘man .vs. food’, it’s become clear to me that you guys over in the states really know how to make an amazing burger.

Over here however, the choice is a lot more limited. For the most part the only cheeseburger I consistently indulge in is the classic ‘quarter pounder with cheese’ from Mcdonalds. There are a few places within London that specialise in burgers but it’s rare that I really venture over to them. :-\

That being said, the best burger I’ve ever tried is the “Taxi Driver” from Gourmet Burger Kitchen.

Obviously there’s a lot more going on in there than just cheese, so apologies if I’ve reached beyond the scope of the thread. Still, that right there is burger perfection as far as I’m concerned, and I’m sure it’d take a trip to the states to convince me otherwise.

Went to a place in Iceland (#palli) called ‘The Burger Factory’ (or in Icelandic, ‘Hamborgarafabrikkan’') that did these funky square burgers:

That were also very good indeed. If you’re ever in Reykjavik, I highly recommend swinging by.

^ Aren’t you guys Metric?

We sure are! I like my weight in grams, stones and kilograms and my measurements in centimetres, meters and miles.

That being said, since the name for the burger from Mcdonalds is actually called “quarter pounder with cheese” on the menu, we don’t really have a choice but to adopt it… and since it’s such a popular burger it makes a good reference point for measuring other burgers. If someone tells me a burger is “half a pound”, I imagine 2 ‘quarter pounder with cheese’ burgers stacked on top of each other to visualise the amount. :stuck_out_tongue:

^Those look like some pretty good burgers Gambit. But this is a real cheese burger

That burger there is a burger with 4lbs of Meat and 1 lbs of cheese and is called the Sasquatch. That burger comes from a place called Stony Ridge up in Ely MN and its a challange burger so if you eat the whole thing by yourself in under $20 minutes you get a free T shirt. Otherwise you have to take a picture holding the sign that says “I was no match for sasquatch”

Stoney Ridge also has some other really great burgers too I’ve only been there once but I really wanna go back.

All this burger talk… I’m having a burger tonight!

Five Guys Burgers and Fries (Chips I believe for Gambit) is the best fast food burger joint we’ve got where I live. The burgers are good. The fries (chips) are bomb!

I want that Taxi Driver!

what the heck… someone actually knows about that popeye episode!!

Hahaha! Thanks for the mention.

When I went on holiday to Florida some years back I went to a burger joint and asked for a “cheeseburger and chips” at the counter. I was greeted with a funny look by the woman serving me, but didn’t really think much of it.

… A couple of minutes later they plonk a tray in front of me that has a burger and a bag of crisps on it. I was so confused… :stuck_out_tongue:

plz fix grmmar plz

Even in my mind comes Popeye when I read it. Popeye love spinach.

Forget all these burgers. The best one is this. Double-Double, Animal Style.
