I have a question. Not a wise guy question. Just a question because I have no idea what the correct answer is.

Does anybody know what positive effect carbon fiber would/could have by adding a strand or two to the recipe?

Sounds interesting. I just wonder what advantage it might have.

Having tried the carbon-fiber-added eagle string, it doesn’t add any good play characteristics. Maybe there’s a better way to incorporate it but I’m not seeing it.

@gsimian you ever experimented with this or know how to make it work?

Never tried it. Not even sure how to procure such materials.

What about 50% -50% Nylon and Carbon fiber? Or maybe %80 Nylon and 20% Carbon fiber. Definitely something that sounds interesting

carbon fiber?
I did not know.
I was left with the kevlar fiber (50% poly and 50% kevlar) of the Yo-yo# 82string (if I remember correctly) … they were much more durable but also much more expensive.
