Can a ding in my punchline lessen how consistently i get a smooth throw?

I can get a perfectly smooth throw with my punchline, but only once in a blue moon. I use to get a smooth throw with my punchline all the time, but after this ding that i got in it, my smooth throws have been less consistent. Could the ding be the cause of this?

well a ding isnt gonna cause a smooth throw one throw and a vibey one the next. work on your throw ;D
