What advice do you have for someone starting out in 4a? I’ve always liked the look of it but have been too affraid to have a yoyo not tied to a string!
With the Unknown brand, do you get in touch with the yoyo companies to say you’d like a collaboration or do they get in touch with you?
And lastly, I’m a big fan of the essential yoyo bag, it’s ideal for carrying yoyos. Are there any plans for other yoyo apparel or holders in the future? I’d like to get ascender yoyo holder some day!
One of my best yoyo memories was going to the National YoYo Contest in Chico CA in 2005 when i had just started yoyoing it really sparked my interest in yoyoing.
I also vividly remember meeting JD and Andre who i would watch all the time in their videos.
I mean I tried circular elihops in offstring on the world stage and it worked. lol

Just want to say I’m a huge fan of Unknowns! Been collecting them ever since I got back into the hobby and can’t stop… Still remember I had no black yoyos back then, now half of my inventory is filled with black yoyos XD
I mean no better time to learn than the present. I highly recommend everyone to pick up a 4A yoyo and give it a shot. Yes learning something new can be scary but trust me if you stick with it for a little bit you can get the basics under your belt in no time. I will also self-promote since TRUENO is coming out today but any offstring yoyo will be good to get started but at 59.99 it’s the best deal out there!
I answered this earlier but yeah most of the time companies reach out to me for collaborations but there is sometimes where an idea is too good for me to not reach out.

If i could only take one yoyo to mars i would probably bring a Trueno or a Shaqshine depending what the rule is…also how much string can i bring? if you wanted to play 2a or 3a or soloham does that count as 1 or 2 yoyos?

I would say the artistic block is worse than having your software crash because once you have an idea in your head or design you can always recreate it and sometimes it’s even faster to start over but if you have no idea what to do because of artistic block it can take some time to get motivated.
Are there any yoyos you feel that not enough people have tried or don’t get the love they deserve? Whether that are yoyos that had an Unknown edition or not.
I’m still on the hunt for an OG Levi Painted CLYW Peak but I don’t want to trade my kidney for one.
I think just sharing knowledge to those who are interested is the best we can do. Maybe giving someone who is interested in yoyoing a good basic yoyo is also a good idea in order to spark interest.
I think now people are starting to get into JTs lineup of 1A throws but for a long while, people just slept on them. I really like the new MIRAGE / Kagerou and the upcoming MiLarge it’s a great middle-range price yoyo that more people need to try. I would also say the SpinGadget is really fun especially for being like $10 it’s a super fun classic yoyo that you can just give away on a whim to someone who might be interested.
For some tricks I have an idea in mind of “oh this slack is cool how can I incorporate it” and then build a trick around that. Other times I just put on some music or a show in the background and just play around trying new things even if its really silly stuff but from there you can get something started.
I’ve been keeping up with Demon Slayer and Komi Cant communicate and also Always sunny in Philadelphia.
I also just finished Part 6 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
