PM me if you want to raise some funds by maybe selling me 1 or 2 at what is a fair price. If it can be siliconed, then I’ll silicone it. If it requires bearings, I’ll supply my own. Axle? Well, I’ll have to have you supply that part!

I can probably swing 2. Let me know what colors or plans are for anodizing. I like clear(so I can see the metal) and blue.

I try to support the community. But, the problem I would have is “will the prototype have a chance to be tested” or is this a “one shot deal”. I mean, then what’s the purpose of prototypes if you go from samples to production run?

The point of doing some samples is that

1. we can make some money
2. we can get some feedback and maybe publicity

if that is what you’re asking. the reason that we are doing an extra prototype other then the samples that we will sell is that if the original design does not work at all then we can make changes before we spend a lot of money for samples. if we were to spend $600 on 10 protos without doing the first one and they turned out badly then we just wasted wasted that money, because no one wants a proto that doesn’t work. if we make a proto before we do the samples then we make sure the design works well. make sense? i hope that’s what you were asking.

where? and are they one drop axels?

Do they have to be One Drop axles? If I’m not mistaking, One Drop just uses an 8-32 set screw that’s 1/2 inches long. If you want I’ll pm you a link where you can get 100 axles for $7

yeha we just need i think about the same dimensions as the axles from one drop. that link would be much appreciated.

For me it depends on when they will be up for sale. Because right now (if they are $75) I a about $20 short

actually, sir squirrel, you have hit on a very important topic. one drop said that they won’t be available for prototyping for say another few months, like the beginning of summer. i we go with them then it would be a longer wait.

Actually our axles are M4x.7 and 16mm long. However, when we machine yoyos for other companies they dictate the axle diameter and length.

okay, yeah there aren’t really any updates. right now were just exploring different companies for prototyping, trying to get it as cheap as possible. if you guys want I can post pics of the final drafts of the ones that we have decided on.
