Bimetal suggestion

Truth! At least I feel like I’m making an intelligent decision vs my usual decision :joy:

Hades or Hinemosu for 1a?

Hinemosu easy imo. Hades if you really enjoy gigantic throes

Hinemasu vs BAE vs Autoscopy. I’m stuck here. Any thoughts comparing them?

not exactly a suggestion here but more a observation:
I would say the Bae plays a tad more laid back but still a capable beast

I’m going based off the Toru.99 which is basically the prototype for the Bae.

the Bae probably has a bit more kick and power compared to the autoscopy but is still somehow floaty according to the description

I have a Liminal Autoscopy and it is very zippy, easy to disrupt its spin time with sloppy maneuvering though unlike the toru.99

can’t speak on the hinemosu but the autoscopy and the bae are both on my list to eventually try so those get my vote!

Ummm I prefer Hades but I am weird. Hinemosu is the best yoyo with normal specs. Hades is super unique and fun

How would you compare Hades and Hinemosu though? In terms of slack and tech style play like Takeshi

Phew okay buckle up. They both excel at that kind of play. Hades is a super intense yoyo likeit is 80g and 60mm diameter. It took me like a month to get used to the weight and theway it moves. It moves beautifully though like it definitely takes intent to get it moving, but then it really wants to continue moving the same direction. That helps with the slack elements like takeshi bounce where the yoyo is carrying the slack. It is also super easy to lock in the right amount of oomf to give the yoyo with those type of slack elements and like suicide elements where you want to have really tight control of how much speed you are giving the yoyo. The diameter is great for me because I have large hands and it fits my hand size perfectly. Theweight is also not toooo slow or lazy like it is a beautiful balance because the walls have some extra thickness like it doesnt have the min/maxed rim weight drag. I also love the hades width like it isn’t too cumbersome with the larger diameter at all.

Mosu has similar play characteristics but it is less intense or dramatic than hades. Mosu also has a smaller diameter which I guess might help if you get super super dense with the tech but the hades diameter hasn’t been a factor for me when getting dense or with chopsticks like I hit my simultaneous chopsticks tricks 3a on stage no problem. Think about your hand size though and if you do have small hands, maybe go for the mosu. If they are large or average size, you will be fine with hades.

Really up to you though. I love hades so much like it is far and away my favorite yoyo, but also intense and you might hate the way it feels to play, so I am recommending it with caution like Hades is not for the faint of heart.

I thought you were exaggerating with the weight, but then I looked it up! :open_mouth: Damn! Someone could knock themselves out!

It is .176 lbs lol it’s just a yoyo like it’s not going to do more damage than any other yoyo.

Oh, I know. Just a little hyperbole!

lol over my head whoops! I could be a touch sensitive to criticisms of the weight also because I want more options for heavy yoyos. Hades does so much to make it pleasant to play at 80g and I know all yoyos that heavy wouldn’t be nice, but more options at 70g+ would be fantastic. I really like how heavier yoyos feel to play and it is annoying to me how few of them there are.

Thanks a lot for this! I have quite small hands so I might even consider getting an undersized yoyo such as the MGB or Counter Jet from TP. Have you tried those before? (I tried the Counter Jet and liked it quite a lot)

Yeah I have a counter jet and love it. It is my fun just chilling yoyo that performs super well for its size. As far as yoyos in the undersized size range, it is def one of the best I have played. Even with small hands though, I still think you would love mosu. I kind of think everyone would love that yoyo though lol. Listen to your heart and you will know what to do…both counter jet or mosu are great and you can’t go wrong with either imo.

Also have you tried to find a yoyo club nearby? Yoyo clubs or attending contests is a fantastic way to try a ton of yoyos and hone in on what size of yoyos works best for you.

I tried at my first and only meet up to date! Was really fun and we are excited to grow the community where I live.

It helps to spell things out sometimes. I think for now the Autoscopy is out. My current thinking is the BAE might be a better all around throw with the extra width, but still a size that won’t hinder my tech stuff. I wish I could find more about the Hinemosu. I couldn’t find any on YouTube about it.

Might find this one interesting

Thanks for that! So basically do I want more of an all around yoyo (BAE) or something designed specifically for tech (Hinemosu)? Both look interesting and I just need to decide which way to pivot. I got the info I need. Appreciate the feedback.

Both of the yoyos you were thinking of are very good, buttt I think that they are completely different in how they perform. If you want a more competitively-minded yoyo then go with the Netrunner. The Fuji is excellent but is meant for more relaxed play.

Also what preferences do you have? Do you like power or speed more? Control? Maneuverability? What about width and diameter? Gap width? All of these factor into getting a good yoyo as I’m sure you know, I just want more info before tacking on an uneducated suggestion.

PS: I will confidently say that when it comes to making competitive bimetals I don’t think C3 has an equal. You can’t really go wrong with them.
