I’m have the funds for a bimetal and would like to add one to my collection. I want something that feels premium and has good spin time/stability. I’ve been buying mono metals for 10+ years and ready to get a nice bimetal since there are so many good options at the moment. Right now I’m looking at the Atmos Fuji and YYFr Netrunner. I’m open to hearing suggestions and options. Thanks!
I’ll be watching this, I’ve been wanting to do the same as the only BM I have is a Brass Exia and would like to branch out
what kind of tricks do you do? some more info about your preferences can help us tailor our recommendations
beyond that I think almost any bimetal you pick up from the more premium brands (including atmos and yyfr) will feel premium and stable
personally I’d look at some of c3yoyodesign, yoyorecreation, unprld, and w1ld’s options as well as they’re some of the other more premium brands dropping the best bimetals at the moment
I do a lot of tech but looking to branch out and diversify. I can’t do horizontal but want to learn. I don’t compete or anything like that. Just an enthusiast.
One of those is Big and the other is Midsized, those are very different
I have to recommend a Miracle as it is the World Camps a few times over
in that case I’d poke around at pieces like the w1ld contrast or unprld oblivion if you want what’s on the cutting edge, otherwise the netrunner would likely be great as well. The fuji’s higher walls and comparatively narrower width would make it a bit harder to do horizontal with however
Recommending a good bi metal will depend on your preference in mono metals.
Personally, I enjoy the W1ld Shy, Offset Outlier+, and W1ld Contrast.
Recommendations will vary wildly, but depending on what you prefer in a mono metal will translate into a bimetal.
The Contrast is lighter and much more nimble than, say, the Shy, which is more powerful and feels more substantial.
i agree, @Gym_Kirk you should share some of your favorite monometals so users can recommend stuff with similar specs and shapes
I feel like almost all bimetals are good. (And some mono metals are just as good as bimetals.)
Power and spintime is a bit overrated. Some pros choose to use a mono metal. If you give us preferences we can recommend something cause otherwise we can just as well mention them all cause they’re all good. But that won’t help you.
I do have 1 blind recommendation. And that’s the C3yoyodesign Galaxy diver v2. I think there are lots of bimetals that come close to this one in performance, feel, shape, specs and all. But this one is more durable, and cheaper than most.

I like a lot of different things. I like organics (Diaroma and OD Nitro), the Legendary Terrarian, Laguna, and Valor quite a bit. I have a lot of One Drop. I often go for fun over performance but wanted something performance oriented that was comfortable and enjoyable to hold.
yoyos that perform well are fun yo
i’m the same with that !
the majority of my collection is also organics and chill throws but i do have one or two high performance
throws being a YYR Liminal Autoscopy and a YYR Toru .99
i really think you would suit well with a a throw from Wild, they’ve been on my list for awhile but i just haven’t had that competitive itch yet but I would love their Shy model regardless
@KirbyRobot put out a great comprehensive review on their flagship models and more, really recommend checking it out if you aren’t too sure what to pick
Based on some of the things you’ve mentioned, I’d recommend the Replicant for sure. Mowl Obsession+ is worth looking at as well. Milder is great.
I am also in the fun over performance camp and the upshift has been a looot of fun!
Malicius is also a great bet.
I would recommend the UNPRLD Seiji tbh. Probably my favorite yoyo up to this day. However, there was a new signature of Junsang Park that was released, the UNPRLD Tenacity. You might want to look at both as Seiji is very stable and on the heavier side, making learning tech and horizontals easier, and Tenacity is the revamped version of Seiji you could say.
The answer is yoyorecreation bi-metal lineups, upheaval expansion and autoscopy are the recent bangers for this category
