I admit to having make some double entendre type comments; that while they didn’t reference women, were crude nonetheless. I guess that could be indicative of a rather exclusively “male” environment.
On the other hand, generalizations can get you into trouble as well…
I’m not going to claim that I’ve never said anything that came across wrong. We’re all human after all. I’ve tried to make a joke and put my foot in my mouth as much as anyone.
But I think the point is that we should all make an effort to understand how these offhand comments can make some people feel really unwelcome. And perhaps more importantly, be willing to see another point of view if someone says “You know, that wasn’t really a cool thing to say.”

Didn’t forget about Jennifer!!! I was just talking about 1A specifically! But yes she won both Nationals and Worlds in 2A in 1998 I believe?!
