Best USA bimetals

No idea to what extent they do, but according to the RSO Starship product page, Magicyoyo did the machining for a couple of the prototypes and production version, so they clearly can.

I rarely consider the plight of Chinese high end yoyo manufacturers. Not because I am heartless and dont care about peoples welfare but because as you point out this is a very niche area where so few yoyos are made that it would be near pointless to employ sweatshop methods to look to mass produce yoyos that will only sell in small amounts to begin with

I am confident the handful of employees at the handful of machine shops in China are reasonably well looked after.

I can agree with you but you are comparing manufacturing quality to FPM, these people are crazy good and I can trust the quality of FPM the same as OneDrop.

Your right, Bimetal users rarely win worlds. However many runners up at contests use bimetal yoyo’s, and many people find that bimetals offer more of the benefits when doing tricks. Even many of the highly rated contest winning yoyo’s are bimetal (ie. Edge, Edge Beyond, Draupnir) Anyone reading this already knows this but it mostly comes down to how good the players are at yoyo.

The fact is, having people winning world yoyo contests with mono metal yoyos doesn’t change the fact that I find bimetals better and I would prefer using powerful bimetals.

How could you fall for that?

After throwing a OD bearing in almost every throw I own I can definitely tell a difference, but there’s still a few distinctions between the whole yoyo and another one from a different company. I don’t know maybe it’s psychological at this point lol

Are you saying flat bearings are superior? I think we need that debate here too

Just don’t accidently fall in the process of debating it

If thats ur issue, there r way too many things u use daily that r made by workers who r paid peanuts.

I know you’re kidding, but I am actually thinking of a good debate there lol. The off topic-ness of this thread is too funny

Motion is not Canada based we are U.S. based, and machining is done at FPM.

Just a clarification

Correct Motion is based out of West Virginia in the United States, FPM is the machine shop we use

I think it’s obvious why we do not want to support the communist Chinese. The political crimes of the last 3 years and covid should be the end of this discussion.
It’s shameful that more of these companies contract out Chinese manufacturing. It’s not better quality as every machining tool and die and process was invented and brought to China from the USA, England and Japan. Made in China should be the one off rarity.
That fact should pluck more peoples strings to start a manufacturing business based in the US or Japan.

China is that bad. It’s worse than you can ever even imagine. I’ve been to shanghai twice.

Yes. It would be superior if it was manufactured by America or Japan. That’s correct.

It’s that way because it’s cheap. It’s cheap to outsource, yes a product made in USA or Japan is always superior in manufacturing quality. Just like watches or any other product. Made in Japan guitars from fujigen Gakki vs shenzen wood factory. It’s used because it’s the most easy and cheap option not the best.
