Or anyone. One Drop has lots of contacts… they could find a blast easily; but it’s a cost-management and production thing I’m guessing. It’s quick to process pyramatte, gives them a unique finish in the industry (even though I don’t prefer it, you can’t deny it’s their own thing!), and is relatively inexpensive vs. a blast.
I suspect pyramatte is also lower risk vs. a blast… although a good blast can be done with consistency and care, there’s the possibility of a poor blast creating a string-eater or inducing vibe.
I think it’s really cool so many people are interested in the Organic one. Seems like it’s rare for folks to get excited about anything except crazy V shaped yoyos that are stretched out to the max to do horizontal ding doodlers and flop toppers to win the next WYYC these days. Sometimes it’s okay for the yoyo to just be a regular yoyo and instead of pushing the boundaries of imagination with a seizure inducing colorway, offer something classic and simple at a good value. And add SEs cuz they’re the best thing ever.
