Not at all. I just really like the Onestar. It’s one of my favorite yoyos. A modern, polycarbonate (og was made from molded celcon), possibly smoother and better constructed version sounds marvelous to me. I would easily buy 2 or 3 of those if YYF announced them right now.

Evan has the weirdest taste in yo-yos. Like you look at most signatures for comp players and there’s a lot of similarities in terms of specs and shape.
Then you look at Evans and it’s like why? What motivated you to want a yo-yo like this?

This is the “Ultimatum” not “Ultimate”. Pretty sure the Edge Ultimate is the bimetalmje used at Worlds though I think he was also considering Edge Infinity for it.

I’ve been patiently awaiting the new Edge bimetal (Infinite, Ultimate, whatever the name lol). Hoping it wasn’t scrapped in favor of this mono metal.

I really like the Edge engravings. I prefer the logos on the rims rather than the hubs, and it’s nice to be able to see that I’m not over-tightening it.

Nope, because a translucent Onestar is a Protostar. I guessing it must have a design update. Hopefully without those evil aluminium spacers.
Not quite - the onestar/sage is a different mold (since it needs more weight elsewhere to replace the weight rings) and was intended as a cross between the yyf ONE and the Protostar. The onestar/sage doesn’t use spacers, and it’s a bit smaller in overall dimensions compared to the protostar.
It may or may not be the same mold as the onestar/sage, who knows.

The Edge Ultimatum isn’t wider than the Edge Monster. There’s about a 4mm difference between the widths of the two.
