07 888 is amazing
08 888 is great
09 888 is good
888x is okay
Its a solid yoyo that you really cant go wrong on if you like undersized throws.
not that great spin times. very smooth. 888x is like a rock on a string though. i need to force it to do the right motion. it doesn’t respond very well to my actions.
very smooth though. nice grinds. hubstacks are fun.

My second metal was an 888 truly an amazing yoyo and the 888x blew my mind…they’re smooth small and agile

Wait what? Are the differences in the yearly 888 revisions really that extreme?
They all play really well. I can’t say there is as much of a difference as @DYonch has noticed. The 07’s though do have a different feel. Can’t really put my finger on it but you can tell when you play one.
