Any knife guys?

Discovered a pretty cool independent whittling knife maker. Check him out, they are pretty cool. Just ordered one to try out.

They look pretty sweet! You’ll have to let us know how you like it.

Spent a little more time on Whittle Guy #3. Tried to make the Mustache more pronounced on this one. Knocked the tip off accidentally. Shifted and kept going.

Also tried to go deeper on this one. Got some cuffs near the boots.

I feel each one I do I make a little more progress. May try my new tools on this guy?

I do have some legend wings coming from @Fun_Dad69 . Will see what I can come up with for those. First one will have the 0A logo on it.

Nice man! I’ve been watching a bunch of Doug Linker videos with my morning coffee and it’s a pretty pleasant way to start the day.

Looks great! Go to town on that beard and mustache with that V tool. You won’t regret it.

I think it’s called a Inyoni. Great knife. My first Idaho made knife.

Very cool, reminds of an old Wade and Butcher I used to have back when I still shaved :joy:

This is a modern take on the Ole Wade & Butcher. “Grim Butcher”

Mine was unfortunately stolen from me, was from the mid 1800s. I got it back eventually with a huge chip out of the blade and I was so upset that it was ruined I just threw it away

This is my Oldest. William Gilchrist no.13. 1856.

Allegedly, Gilchrist was a U.S. Importer for Wade and Butcher. He shaped this from a W&B blank.

Beautiful, I love the scales

Scales are not original.

The original horn scales were worm eaten and one was broken.

Unbeknownst to me, my fiance at the time bought it. Sent it to Max Spreecher in Nevada for restoration. He duplicated the scales in Micarta. Now impervious to bugs and water.

This was the gift my fiance gave me on the day of our wedding. Shaved with it prior to the ceremony.

Of Course I married the girl.

This razor has never seen the hones since Mr. Max Spreecher did his thing. Still shaves like the day I got it over 13 years ago.

Truely my best shaver.

That’s so cool! A very special razor then indeed, looks great and I’m sure it will for another lifetime or more

This replica of that razor will last my life time.

I think the razor will definitely go several more generations.

Thanks! I had to get something other than a sebenza .

Someday I wouldn’t mind getting a Backpacker, but I think a Zaan is next on my high end knife purchase list. It may be a gift to myself when I finish my apprenticeship. I’ve got a Sebenza 21, it’s the folding pocket knife perfected, in my opinion. They complicated it when they came out with the Sebenza 31.
