I love the Blues Junior. That’s my Jam…
Mine is sporting EL34s and 30 watts thanks to some handy upgrades and modifications. I call it the Blues Senior.
Been playing for over 20 years now. Been through a lot of guitars but settled on these two. Strandberg saved my guitar life. skateboarding/mountain biking has resulted in many sprained and broken wrists. I can make it through 3 hour gigs without pain on the weird headless beast.
As for rig I have a ‘solo/trio jazz cafe’ gig setup with a hendriksen blu 6 and tonex one
and a DI ‘hired gun’ rock/pop setup with a line6 hx stomp, uafx heavenly reverb, and beetronix wannabee overdrive.
also I recently put together a sloppy album with my extremely limited music production skills SONGS | Aaron-ish
I’m giving this a listen right now and after 56 seconds I had to come back real quick and say I’m digging it so far. ![]()

Only pedal I have left. Basically just play accoustic. I normally don’t play out much 2 much anymore, but when I do I usually Mic my Martin.
Custom Assembled Franken steel pieced together when I was active on TDPRI.com running a Mexican fender neck, Custom Shop Hot Rod SCN Pickups (that absolutely RIP), and a bunch of other goodies.
My Blackheart Little Giant, using my FM212 as a cabinet. This lil guy gets LOUD, and sounds awesome.
My basement jam “studio”. Just add musicians.
Finally got myself a brass snare drum, a Sonor Kompressor. It’s so good.
Roland TD-27, needed an electric kit when we moved my MIL in, begged and pleaded and secured a truly magical piece of equipment. I am forever grateful to my wife for helping make this dream happen.
“Vintage” (early 2000’s) Tama Rockstar kit I got off a coworker a while back, still in love with the orange fade. Cymbals collected throughout the years, all mostly for free or dirt cheap.
Found this in a random thrift store in the poconos for practically free, I plan to restore it someday, and believe it or not the electronics work.
I’m more of a drummer, was my elementary school instrument of choice, but have been playing guitar since freshman year of high school. Have been in a couple of bands that fizzled out, more of a bedroom musician than anything.
The basement has a cobbled together house system made from free speakers and an old power amp thing for synths and vox, speakers are throughout the basement making insane surround sound. Shakes the whole house when dialed up lol
Took me so long to save up for this back when I was in high school! Still my favorite 20 years later.
i play bass and ukulele. (not guitar, as a rule… but not too far off lol.)
i’m in a band with a local singer-songwriter and play with jazz groups around charlotte. ![]()
gotta have a hobby right?
I love the upright.
Yeah that’s a nice one. 62 Kay.
I also have a 50’s East German bass which I’ve had since college and never lets me down.
Real pieces of art there.
What made you drawn to the Jag-stang over a mustang or Jaguar? ![]()
I was really into Nirvana back then and was looking for something short scale so the jag-stang seemed like the perfect fit!
Thought that might be the case aha, just to me the jag-stang is the odd one to me, personally the shape isn’t for me XD but I’m sure it sounds and plays great!
Has a similar pickup up setting to a duo sonic, wonder if it’d sound like one🤔
I love how wonky they look, a dream guitar of mine
Ever played a vintage guitar? If so you should be able to understand why someone would want a “relic” guitar. The purpose of a relic is to mimic the feel of a 50+ year old guitar, that is the real purpose. Nachocasters are probably my favorite guitars that do this, they get all the details right. And the feel is almost dead on to a 50’s or 60’s Fender or Gibson.
I remember seeing victor whooten and his brothers a few times. An absolute amazing show! I’m not a bass player, but his solo during belafleck’s sinister minister instrumental?!?!?
Mind blowing. ![]()
The best. And such a great guy. I’ve done clinics w him and prob seen him 25ish times. Always takes time to talk to anyone and everyone and he has such a great musical philosophy (besides being a monster player).
Him and his brothers tour and it’s a wild gig. Guy who does percussion plays a guitar shaped custom percussion machine. I lived up in the poconos for a few years early 2000, Bela fleck came through and stopped at a camp ground outside Wilkes barre and played an impromptu session right there at the camp ground. I ate hotdogs and burgers with the band an crew ![]()
