any girl yoyoers out there?

Oh well isn’t this funny I Yoyo at recess for me and a crowd of guys show up now only if there was some kind of girl Yoyo club or something

Then again that would be a longshot

I’m a girl yo-yoer. Just took me a while to finally get on the forums.
I’ve never met another girl who yo-yos, but I’ve also never met another person who yo-yos. I’m hoping to go to the Chico yo-yo club in a few months (when I finally move up to Orland). Fingers crossed for a ride.
Yay! The company of others who speak yo-yo!

Cool moving to Orland nice then again I have never bin there I have only seen it on google earth so that’s not exactly good so later PM on how that Chico Yoyo club thing goes and while your around that area I hear there’s a Yoyo museum do good luck meeting other yoyoers oh and fair warning there are a lot of guys there probably

Bumpy let’s keep it going come on

I’m super excited to meet other yo-yoers! I might not make it to the club for a while, though. My internship kind of takes up most of my time and we are pretty stranded (hence the need of a ride). But, I spend most of my free-time yo-yoing…until my housemates yell at me about it.
When I unpacked my awesome yo-yo bag, my roomie started gushing about how much she likes yo-yos and how she can do it. I handed her my easiest throw (responsive and everything) and she had no idea what to do. She was lying! It was so disappointing. :-[
Now she says that she wants to learn, but every time that I bring it up, she dismisses it as a bad time. I don’t think there is a good time. Oh well…more time to work on new tricks ;D

There’s recess in middle school?

And yeah, any yoyo club would be cool, I guess.

I’m a high school girl!

All counts point is finally people are staring to realize that there are girl yoyoers that do in fact yoyo and yes there is recess in middle school don’t ask me how there still is but it is around 10 minutes so it more like a break so I just go outside and do a couple tricks before we go inside

I am a girl. aha! Hello, hello! I’m 21, from New Jersey.

I’ve been yoyoing on and off for about a year. I don’t even know any male yoyoers though.
I’ve always thought that yoyoing is the same thing as video games: I have so many guy friends who play video games, but so few female friends that do. I think it’s the way males’ brains work…they’re more attracted to solving spatial problems than woman. I just wrote a paper on how males are more apt to choose careers in science or math rather than woman because of their psychological makeup. I’m pretty sure society’s expectations have something to do with that too…SO YAY! GIRL YOYOERS! ENCOURAGEMENT. YEAH…something like that. :stuck_out_tongue:

I like yoyoing because it’s an antisocial sport. lol. When I’m in hermit mode, I can really get into it, y’know. I also longboard/skateboard and the concept of learning yoyo tricks and skateboard tricks is the same: learning through movement.

So glad to meet other girl yoyoers, indeed. ;D

Who isn’t happy to meet other girl yoyoers?

Not me!

I’m always excited to!

Of course all it shows is girls can do something that and it’s always good to have them out there or else’s it won’t be as fun

Of course all it shows is girls can do something amazing. That, and it’s always good to have them out there or else it won’t be as fun for all.

(Just a little buffing around the edges.)

And this is what makes the yo-yoing community interesting because if it were all guys It would be like men playing football all the time except it’s yoyos. so without girls in the yo-yoing community it makes it well interesting! That and it gives a little flavor here and there to give some interest.

Bumpy come on let’s keep it moving!!

I’m also a yoyoer girl from Spain

Abby, I am so glad you started this thread. It has proven to be a very informative and valuable topic on the forums!

Thanx.

Well of course I had to make it someone had to some time or later
And in around a month I did a head count of girl yoyoers this thread has found it’s around 8 so let’s see if we can do better

Bump man I can’t believe i posted that yesterday I think anyway thank you banjo spins and let’s keep it moving!
