Personally I think Retic has one of the cooler names in yoyo. The Retic Boa I own is imo one of the coolest named yoyos I own.

Why? If you don’t mind me asking… Seems like you’d be all over A-rt stuff.

Ive owned 3 grails, and a 420. They have all moved on to new homes. They were good throws, but didnt get played with enough compared to some others I seemed to click with a bit better. I have nothing bad to say about them, and I met Monte from ART at worlds a few years back. He threw my Tundra and is a cool cat. I never got one of his (yet) but I appreciate what hes been able to do, especially at his age.

Thanks @Dust! It’s been a good one. Just won a glow in the dark yoyo from the bowling alley and bought a random wooden top from the market nearby!

Most brands that use acronyms, I just pronounce as a word. This was suggested to me by Adam Brewster back when we were on Buzz-on and CLYW had just hit the scene. He pronounced it as “Clue” and I loved the idea, and it’s stuck ever since. I also refer to Magic Yoyo (often shortened to MYY) as “My”, ILYY is “Ill-ee”, and both ART and A/RT are just “Art”.

For the record, Articulated Return Tops is a great name… I do prefer Retic Yoyos though because the word Retic sounds cool to me.

As for brands with goofy names Spin Time is the one that gets me… I love the Empire though.
