I just hope my wallet is ready for the release.

I can’t wait to have some near death experiences with this thing.

Thanks! I thought it was going to be much heavier when I looked at the pictures.

I agree. I don’t notice a HUGE difference… I prefer 10, but would use 8 all day long.

and… I’ll drop this here…

Nice Berto. You guys are really workin’ the tricks! I’ve been so obsessed with looping that I’ve only been focusing on that. It’s been all lefty work for me this month. I feel like a novice again. But it’s still been a lot of fun. I broke the wood axle on one of my proflys too. Turns out, you can’t just keep tightening the halves to try and make the gap smaller. Eventually… crunch!! I found some replacement axles on Duncan’s site, but they’re 1.99 for 3 and 12 bucks for shipping. Ouch! That hurts more than the broken axle. I also took my Currier out into the world this month. It’s earned its character with some dents and scratches, but you know what? It still looks cool.

Keep up the good work everyone.

I’m working on some art work right now to wood burn into my maple Currier ;D

I bet it looks better with those beauty marks. I know mine does.

@aaron can’t wait to see the custom burned currier.

It’ll be a bit. I haven’t used my wood burning iron in ages! Going to practice some on some scrap maple first

Here are a few.

You know, you’re right, Skinny. In fact, each mark is more of a step toward my goal instead of a mistake. I have a feeling this Currier is going to be my carry around throw from now on.

Aaron, I want to see pics too. I used to have a wood burning set but lost it in a move. I want another one.

Yooldman, even some of those misses look awesome. Still looks like your NTH took some shots though. You’re much better than I am so I appreciate the videos.

I think I might be the least skilled in this whole group, but after a year of this, who knows!

If at first you don’t succeed…
I am glad you put the video up.

Good… you only see my highlight reel when I post also… So you see 5-10% of the attempts…

I’ve filmed for hours before trying to get a one minute video together :). After messing around making videos for 2 years I’m finally getting to where the camera doesn’t bother me. Much ;).

Insane!

Amazing. I still can not figure out how to make a dead yoyo flip and land and then restart. I have lots of work to do.

i wonder what some of the yoyo OGs would think about ed’s tricks. i mean i assume they never even imagined most of them… reinventing the wheel… err yoyo.

Again: Amazing! When I first learned all of the tricks I ever knew of or saw (at that one completion I attended) were in that little Duncan booklet. What Ed is doing isn’t in that book! What many of you are doing with a fixed axle is - Amazing!

I remember when I first got started and “stumbled” across a stall. I was probably 10 or so and would be so upset when it happened, like “man my yoyo just stopped spinning,” then start whatever I was trying to do over. Back then (1991) there wasn’t an internet to see if anyone else was doing it, and I didn’t know anyone else who even owned a yoyo then. How times have changed, now a good percentage of my tricks involve a stall ;D
