I’ve been playing with my new no jive for awhile now. Now I know why Ed loves these things they’re amazing. They play so smooth and I really enjoy playing with it. Best 30 dollars spent on a yoyo.

Thanks, berto. I wish it had a bit more polish, but for my first video I think it went ok. I’m looking forward to making more and seeing everyone else’s. It’s a real motivator to share with you guys.
Oh, and while I told myself I would hold off on ordering more yoyos, I couldn’t help myself. I just ordered a Tom Kuhn No Jive butterfly Mandala. I also threw in a couple Proyos while I was at it. I can’t wait for them all to arrive. But this will definitely be the last yoyos I buy for a good long while.
And if you believe that, I have a bridge I’d like to sell you… :

Skinny, nice job with the Planet Hops. I have been working on Hop the Fence and perhaps I will work on Planet Hops next.
I’ve found that I have horrible stability when doing HtF, and if I throw a PH in every once in a while it’ll restabilize and I can continue longer. What is it called when you HtF fence backwards and on the outside (loosening the tension instead of increasing)?

Yeah, that’s why I usually throw about 10-15 hops and then 10-15 front loops to loosen the string tension back to normal. It’s so much harder with my left hand, though, because hops loosen the tension and loops tighten it. So if you hop TOO much, then it’s tough to do a loop because the string around the axle is too wide open. So with my left hand, I have to have a bit more tension on the string. Is there lefty cotton string? If not, I might have to try making some myself. Another fun project!
The left handed string thing is just now catching on with poly, not sure if cotton is popular enough to warrant mass production of lefty strings though.
im still working on perfecting my fancy boutique egyptian cotton strings (still havent broken one :o) and making a lefty string would be super easy. ill try it!
