Throw how it feels right for you. There is no rule that says you need to throw a breakaway.

If you WANT to throw a breakaway, and need tips, you want to start with your arm higher, and directly at your side to prevent that tilt. Then it’s just practice until you have a straight throw. I’m 32 and been playing with yoyo’s for longer than you’ve been alive, but my breakaway is almost never completely straight. Still having fun though!

You look pretty skilled and fast from the front style. Nice! Learning to throw from a breakaway will only serve to open up your game!! Keep at it, looking good!!

Honestly, it’s up to you. You can continue using the front style throw for side style tricks like @Mazdarx7FD, but learning the breakaway will help you later especially when you decide to get into horizontal.

I actually have a good horizontal breakaway my vertical one just sucks
