A message to young players...

Stupid thread. Would you tell the valedictorian to drop out of school because he’s taking school too seriously? Get real man, there’s nothing wrong with setting goals and dreaming big. Settling is what stagnates this hobby. I’m excited to see how many younger players are motivated to do big things in yoyoing.

Also, it’s dumb to say that YYF has no soul? I’ve chilled with them enough to know that they have a blast when they play yoyo.

see? that’s exactly how you make the OP’s point
good example, thank you

PS: oh and comparing working hard at school with working hard throwing? seriously?

Non sequitur

I would like to point out that in most young yoyo players, the part of the brain that helps generate emotion is very devoloped and the part that analyzes consiquences is not as developed. This combination usually resaults in a lot of arguing. I just thought i’d mention, kind of a fun fact…

please?

sigh I was hoping some other people would have some other things to say. If anyone wants to lock this baby up, I don’t guess I have a problem with it.

This is legitimately disappointing.

Well I think the major problem is that most people never read the thread befor they respond. They get an opinion after the first page, and then post on it. Thus we dead horse beatings. If the topic gains an interesting note with new vibrant ideas then I’d say woot let’s keep it going, but sadly forum edicate needs to distributedm, and YES I REALIZE I AM GUILTY OF THE MY OWN COMPLAINT.

Everyone is at some point.

you know that on yye forums you can lock your own topic right?

Sorry to be late to the party, but I just watched that Take yoyos less seriously vid and just about died of laughter. And I totally agree. If I get the chance to be sponsored I might not accept because I know that it would turn into a contest because I am super competitive.

I feel that, each person has their own reason that makes them want to yoyo. We should not tell somebody to quit just because they are not having fun or are being too serious. The problem arises when yoyoing starts to affect the player negatively, resulting in negative feelings. In this case, the player should not be yoyoing, as it is not helping the player in any way. Other than that, as long as the player wants to yoyo, why not?
