Here’s a progress update from me.
Today I’m throwing Loop 720s with one red and one blue spacer (Shu’s setup).
I’ve been watching Shu’s tutorials that were brought to my attention on the tutorials thread and making some tweaks to my form as a result. I’m trying to do a snappier wrist as opposed to a flowy sort of rotation. I’ve also tried to adopt some tips from Hop the Fence but it hasn’t quite come back together yet, namely using the index finger to get it over the top. My non-dominant hand tends to go off plane much more frequently doing that so far, and sometimes I can’t quite get the string off my index finger on that hand in time for the next hop.

Man I want a loop 2020 haven’t been able to grab one in a bst yet and I doubt there are any being sold new anywhere at this point but it’s one of my missed opportunity yo-yos…

I thought I was close to @TryCatchThrow but it looks like he’s pulling out a strong lead. I’ve got to get to work.
@Captrogers I was really lucky when I decided to do 2A. I got three in the BST (2 prototypes) and two of the last 2020’s and all the axels (running titanium because of my mad skills), starbursts and spacers.
I did get a new distraction today but to be fare you can 2a it.

I’ve always imagined a titanium looper would be a broken nose. fun but a black eye in the works.

I decided to pull out my collection of Duncan and play with them today. Mostly I gravitate to the imperial Al or my proyo but after adding some might flea string to my mini imperial it actually is playable and kind of fun. I tossed the first and the plastic butterfly to my toddlers and did some looping in my left hand on my proyo as I’m still pretty bad with my off hand.
I also finally replaced my headset this last weekend so I could stand and loop while listening to meetings.

Nothing wrong with a Duncan day. I love my Imperial AL also but the weight drops my loops lower and lower. I might just need to go to the gym.

Unfortunately I have to do a large part of my throwing laying down. There is nothing like a metal Imperial coming down on you to make you appreciate plastic.

I didn’t give up on 2a yet lol. Finally made a progress report after about 2 weeks I can pretty consistently hit 3-4 loops
