Seen the video and I’m not going to argue that he isn’t crazy good. I will, however, argue that skill has nothing to do with the number of yoyos you need.

If the argument is going to be “need more yoyos for competition” then all he really needs is one or two more duplicates of one of his existing throws. I’m all in favour of obtaining more yoyos because it’s fun to collect stuff. I’m just saying that he might have better luck convincing mum if he’s got a slightly more solid and well-thought out argument.

Definitely not my arguement. That would be a horrible arguement. The problem with those yoyos are that they’re harder to trade at contests than you think.
Not to say I’m crazy good, but I’m saving my better combos for later

As for the OP’s collection, he only seems to have a few high end throws, and with all the colors, shapes, sizes, and weights to choose from, he still may want more variety than that. Not many throws at all…under 10 still.

Why talk to us about it? The people you should be talking to is your parents.
You should explain to them WHY you’d like to buy more yoyos. You need to give them good reasons instead of coming on here and whining about it. Actually have a mature discussion with them. And your dad crying seems like a bit of an overreaction. Perhaps he didn’t get the big promotion at work and your yoyo-buying shenanigans pushed him over the edge. But to be fair, corporate has been riding him nonstop for the past three weeks over the Johnson project.
Is it that they think you’ll blow all your money on them? Perhaps explain to them that it’s YOUR money, and you should be free to do what you like with it.
Not sure of the reason, but my parents have always given me (for the most part) free reign on my life. I buy, sell, and trade a lot of yoyos…

Well today he got a new yoyo! I was there when he bought it t the YoYoExpert booth an boy was he happy! This guy is truly grateful. On another note I can’t believe u beat him in prelim finals 0.0! I even beat Ann Connolly! I was right above her
