Zipline strings

Night Moves regular and tech thin. Practically polar opposites of Zipline’s nylon blends in every quality, so thickness isn’t the only factor in choosing them.

But I started out looking for something thinner than EC Lite.

oh def it does, but its 50/50 whereas the others are either 80% or 100% nylon. it moves a bit more predictably for me so its a trade off. i recently circled back around to execs, mainly because theyre still slower than 100% but still break down much slower than the higher poly ones. plus, let’s be honest, execs feel like rubbing strands of silk on the fingers

anyone know the release name for the cs120 blend? is that prestige?

I think it was a limited edition(?) This is the description of CS120 from August 2023 (AFAIK long after Prestige):

Regarding CS120: We are huge fans of solid white string and strive to produce some of the most luxurious solid white blends on the market. Over the last couple of months we had this idea to experiment with a couple of shade variations that live within the same realm as solid white string, just to see how they compared.
CS120 is made from a 2-stage poly/nylon blend - very similar to our limited edition Easter string release, CS118, but they have a slightly more refined twist torsion. They are soft and classy while still offering a sportier twist than some of our more laid back, classic blends, and we think you’ll love them! If you end up giving them a try, please let us know what you think

Was it CS121 that became Polyesque or was that CS120?

Here’s what I could find:

CS118 - (limited edition)
CS119 - Polyesque Blend
CS120 - (limited edition)
CS121 - ZS.AIR
CS122 - (tbd)

Edit to add: There was also a Hypertone Orange release that was called “the final precursor to the official CS121/CS122” at the time, but I thought became Polyesque. So there’s that.

Edit again: Both CS121/CS122 were part of that release:

we’ve been working on our latest color, HyperTone Orange, and we’ve been using our current CS121 and CS122 formulas as a testing ground. This is the most vibrant, most saturated fluorescent orange we’ve ever released, and we think you’ll love how loud they turned out! We’ll have about 60 packs of each blend available tonight, and this is the final precursor to the official CS121/CS122 rebranding/renaming release

I’m looking to try some zip line string for the first time, which of their strings would be considered fat? :eyes:

fattest to thinnest of their nylons would be fluff>skyline>zs air>executives. having said that, none of them are particularly “thin”

Good to know! I want to go to a fat string, have only used kittystring first class normal so far and wanted to get a dozen nicer/thicker strings from Zipline for my W1ld contrast I’ve got in the mail currently

oh well if you’re used to kitty nrml every one of those will be noticeably thicker! fluff is gonna be tricky for unresponsive play cuz it’s crazy thick. ive gotten on zs air kicks a couple of times but i never last more than an order or two before it just feels like a rope to me. both skylines and zs air are pretty beefy strings so you might start there. interested to hear your experience once you’ve given something a try!

Now to just find some for sale

they restock on their website the first friday of every month so they just restocked. they have both skylines and zs air in atm, they just ran outta fluff

Pulled the trigger and grabbed these :fire:

I have a W1ld Contrast on the way as my first like premium yoyo so I wanted to get some nice strings for it so it feels just that much more special :joy: the light blue will look great on the black contrast with white rims, and a pack of pink for it just for fun.

Then I figured I’d grab a pack of green for my Koi which is my next best yoyo so it can have some love, and I figured I’ll leave my bulk first class kitty string normal for my ultra cut and possibly trading people to try other strings

yes! ultimately i ended up getting a clear pano and i love that thing

i love pink string! my goto string being execs means no pink on the regular but sometimes i grab a few zs airs in pink and it just pops

i use kitty nrml in my loopers and responsive throws. so if you have any interest in responsive play or 2a you may have a use for them still
