You should have said something earlier. Does anyone know if they’ve shipped already? or will they even allow that I add something to my order? or if they even understand what my email will say for that matter?
Little does he know what the long term effect of Abenomics will be, but hey at least we’re all getting yoyos.
This news segment is pretty cool. From JN. Shows lots of YYRs, some of the machining done for them. How they quality control, close ups of the Draupnir and Dazzler. Very neat even if you don’t know Japanese. http://vimeo.com/67870567
What do we think of those two raw ones(not the Fragment)? Dazzler and a larger Dazzler? Rim is different from Draupnir. Sheen of the metal looks different from the raw aluminum Fragment. The bowl shape of that cup looks soooo nice. Please don’t be $500.
Nope, nope, nope, that would be $525 by the time PayPal and YYR took their currency exchange fee, unless USD/JPY suddenly jumps to 200 i’m gonna have to pass. Man what a disappointment. Does mean i have money burning a hole in my pocket though, maybe i’ll track down one of the new 7075 Anglams when they release.
Nice find, Nathan. Not sure if I can really stomach over $500 for a throw unless I have some amazing luck selling off half about half a dozen throws. Might just wait to see what else YYR drop in the near future or pick up a Draupnir when they get around to a second run.
I have a feeling we are never going to see YYR models sell for over $100 on the bst anymore! That’s good for when we want to buy them but bad when we want to sell haha! Glad YYR allowed their products to get into the US on a higher scale with good prices
I actually think once their new models come out and the old stock has long since gone, we’ll start seeing demand increase again for the older models as they become more rare and as more people get turned on to what amazing yoyos they are. Sort of like the new throwers who chase after Peaks, Projects, G5s, etc.
Not necessarily, especially if the new models are $200-$500. People got spoiled by the low YYR prices and easy availability, once they’re gone they’re gone, and especially models like the Fragment, Uragment, New Overdrive, Blink, Mr. Butcher, etc. that got limited exposure in mystery boxes and had limited availability, i don’t see their demand going anywhere. If i didn’t have all the models i wanted right now i’d be nervous, and even seeing the Blink and Fragment sell out so fast makes me wish i’d picked up duplicates for my collection.
lol, but it plays so nice, i’d forever regret selling it for $70!
