Anybody have hands-on experience with both the Fragment and Uragment? I’d like to know if their is much difference in play. I think I’m just going to buy one new since I haven’t received any trade offers for one. My favorite YYR’s are the Sleipnir and Acrophobia. I like that they are on the lighter side. Most other YYR’s are a bit too heavy for my taste, so I think the Fragment will be a great fit for me based on the shape and specs.
Have both. Just got my Fragment today and only have a few minutes on it so can’t give any super detailed opinions, but hopefully tonight or this weekend i can get some good comparo time since i know a lot of people have been wondering. I will say i thought the Fragment would be a little heavier, sort of like the Gleipnir to the Uragment’s Sleipnir, but on first throw it surprised me with how light and floaty it was. Definitely has the same speed and quickness as the Uragment, but at least on initial throw felt a little lighter. That said the Uragment is far from heavy and i absolutely love them both. I’ll do some weights and give better opinions soon. The specs for both models have been all over the place depending on where you look so i’ll be curious to find out how they actually compare.
Other lighter YYRs to check out would be the Overdrive and Blink. I have a Blink on the way so i’ll let ya know how that goes.
Alright, it’s not a Gleipnir… oops. The hub is flat. Seems like an Attune, same shape and dimensions, but feels heavier than 64 grams. Maybe 66-67 grams. What could it be?
No, it’s same dimensions as Attune and has its same slight curves and flat hub. Measured 55 mm diameter, 40 mm width. But heavier than 64g by a couple grams. A heavier Attune, basically.
No scale, but hefted it in comparison to the e=mc2, messiah, and a 67 g peak. I wanna say 66.5 g or so. Real close to the peak’s weight. Lemme see if I have a 64 g yoyo to compare to be sure…
