Gotcha.
The Golyat comes in different colors. I want a POM Diffusion; but anything other than white. Is this a one-shot deal, or is this a part of the YYR lineup for the future?
Bring on the colors!
I believe itās not supposed to be produced again. As I understood it, it is a one-time release, but I may have misunderstood
However, I really hope theyāll do an upgraded version of it some time in the future, and hopefully itāll be machined this time
They said this was a limited run so I wouldnāt expect any more colors, but you never know. They may change their mind.
I think itās a one shot deal here, but on the bright side. White POM is great for dying. I have a thread with a few of my dyed delrins somewhere, Iām too lazy to look for it tho
I caved in on one last night. Iāll be able to compare this to the polycarb version seeing as that I just got one. Iāll let you all know how they compare.
What shape? really curious
I donāt usually take glamour shots of a yoyo profile anymore, this is the best I got right now.
Itās similar to the pulsefire SS but the rims stick out (up) a bit and thereās a concave bit right on the corner of the rim where the V bit starts. Same basic shape as the pulsefire but with a lot more detail. Play is very different to a pulsefire though, closer to a draupnir. The rims are fairly thick but arenāt very wide and the walls feel very thin to me. I prefer it to the Riot but I wouldnāt call it better, just more my thing.
looks like it would be more my style as well, thanks for the description.
And just for the sake of some yoyo porn, hereās another pic
reminds me somewhat of the zen plus
aesthetically, invaders must die I donāt like, with protruding steel rings in those steps and lose a lot of essential and clean design which is a trademark for yoyorecreation (and thus for rebellion), on its playability I can not say anything, I donāt possess it.
Iām waiting my āstart the riotā but I have no great expectations even on this yoyo, in many store (this first) remains unsold, there is a reason ā¦
Let me preface my comments with this: I never really cared for the lower mass bimetals. (Draupnir/Sputnik) They feel like they have no huevosā¦
The Start the Riot is AMAZING⦠Too SMOOTH⦠GAH!
I usually find bimetals to be very business like. Very serious throws meant to perform at the highest levels. With the Riot, I feel you get all the performance without the serious attitude.
On the string it feels solid and stable. Iām not going to go as far as calling it heavy, but it is a 66 gram bimetal. It supplies a lot of feedback on string hits, and responds well if you want to go fast. The Riot is neither too fast nor too slow. It can take anything you can throw at it while still showing some personality.
The Riot is the only bimetal Iāll make a daily carry.
This comforts me!
Monday I should get my!
New Sputnikās available now.
Anyone have any idea whether this will be at YoyoExpert? I LOVE to buy my YYR from Andre and YYE - if given the chance.
Got my Riot today. I love it! One word to describe it would be adaptable.
Iām playing for a few days, very good yoyo, very stable, fast, with a long time to spinn and manages to maintain the degree of tilt in a perfect way.
the weight on the rope is nice, however, to return from a feeling of greater heaviness.
The pads are sticking out and Rendeno in some situations a bit 'too reactive, I removed them and I opted for the silicone fluid, I also replaced the bearing, which runs perfectly but has an internal diameter too narrow gripping much on the seat, I put a centraltrack that fits perfectly.
finishes are good but sometimes it perceives that it is a Chinese product, made on a large scale (in stainless rings with many micro scratches, qalche scratch also in the wall due axis in phase of assembling, etc.) but also the more famous and expensive yoyorecreation have never been free of imperfections, so all ok.
what I donāt understand is why the stores remains almost entirely unsold?
Hi guys, I need help to decide between the Draupnir, Valkyrie, or Start the Riot. How do they compare?
For reference the YYR I loved the most was the Sleipnir and Overdrive, they felt they best, but they were a bit bigger and lighter than I prefer for daily throwing. So maybe not the Draupnir even though Iāve always heard amazing things about it.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance!!
Draupnir is always a safe bet, and starting to become slightly more available. I really like the Valkyrie though as much or more. Slightly smaller which can be nice, basically a baby Draup. No experience with the Riot yet.
is a personal choice is difficult give you an answer, between Draupnir and Valkyrie no doubt I would go on the first, lighter, responsive and fast.
for both but I have always thought that in any case not worth the money they cost.
The Riot has a fair quality / price ratio (only discrete, not good), play well but it is more like the Valkyrie, however, the two rings give an ability to keep the degree of tilt wanted very unique.
Thanks for the recommendations.
After some thought I went with the Valkyrie because I like more feedback on the string (vs the light Draupnir) and wanted the full advantage of rim-weighted bi-metal design (vs. the double-rimmed Riot). The size and weight seem good for my preferences. Canāt wait to get it! Iāll let yāall know how it goesā¦
