Just my luck I spent weeks tracking down a B-grade Acrophobia from Japan which I’ll pick up from the post office tomorrow only to get one in my box. Oh well. Very happy to have duplicates of such a rare throw.
Did they come in boxes? How the heck could tape residue get on them? Curious minds would like to know! Although I’m sure a little acetone would clean them up but, yeah, where’s the “value added” attention to detail?
I find this unacceptable. I would call the Overdrive and Messiah C-Grades at best.
Nah just wrapped up in bubble wrap. No idea where it would come from, wasn’t from the packing. Must have been from something prior. Once I’m feeling better I’ll clean and play with them.
I wouldn’t sweat it too much, I’ll bet they play stellar once you get over the shock. Good score BTW.
Definitely. I didn’t mean to come across as upset or anything, slightly below what i expected, but i certainly don’t feel slighted. I mean i paid $110+$13 shipping for my other B-grade Acro, which was high tbh, but that box Acro alone is a great deal and once i get the others cleaned up they’ll be great. Already thinking about some custom ano or mirror polishing for the Overdrive, plus i’ll be able to do the first review of the new vs. old Overdrive which i think a lot of people are curious about.
Mmmmmm,that Acrophobia… Trust me, you wont be disappointed having 2. Im hoping my package will have one so that my Blue/silver Acro can have a brother. I just got home and saw that the mailman left one of those papers saying that he needs a signature. Now i have to wait till tomorrow to pick it up at the Post Office. So excited!!!
So gave the Messiah a rub with some elbow grease and a microfiber towel and it’s perfect now, also dead smooth, smoother than the A-grade i owned a year or two ago, go figure. Acrophobia and Overdrive are also both dead smooth to the eye and on string, and have a pretty much undetectable amount of vibe on a fingernail test, basically the same as regular YYRs or any other yoyo, so very happy now.
Guess the A- grade was just for the dirt on the surface then. Nice score!

It does a bit. Talk about a rare throw… Weight should be pretty evident, Acro is 66g, Perfectstar is 70g. Awesome haul either way!
Kinda disappointed with the Mystery box I received. It was a good deal for the price but the throws I got I wasn’t really fond of. I got a Red Attune, Red/Blue unengraved 6, and a Raw Triplet. Didn’t really want any undersized throws and to make it worse I hate the color red. Good thing is I may have a trade lined up for the Attune. If anyone is interested in the 6 I am willing to trade it for any other YYR or sell it. Ill post pics later.

Attune: Middle weight feeling on the string, dead smooth, performs very well. I hate the color red though (Might have already lined up for this already)
Triplet: One word, Tank! Solid on the string and super powerful spin. Dead smooth as well and spins forever. I like it the most despite its higher weight. Mine is raw so I really like the look of it and its a little too thin, kinda wish it was like 2-3 millimeters wider and I would love it.
6: Small but powerful. Dead smooth and spins very long for its size. One of the better undersized throws i’ve played
