When I was a kid we took a family trip to some national parks. At one of them we witnessed this happen. Not that you could see the bird while it was diving. More like, we were aware of it high in the sky as well as these 2 birds on the ground near our camp eating. Next thing was a pretty abrupt combo of sound and feathers everywhere. Like a gunshot with a feather cloud.

We watched them hunt every day while climbing in Smith Rocks Or. where it was easy to see them. Others states too but Oregon really had the blue skies and open vistas for viewing that trip. They do hit like a bullet!
Much more fun than surprising a turkey vulture mom with chicks while topping a ledge @ 70’ free soloing in the South! All the sudden I have dried bird poo, dirt, and feathers all being fanned at me with these huge wings, all while squawking and charging at me too.
Great throw name imho and if it’s anything like the HB it will live up to it. Wanted to post the old video from when I started and a fellow gets hit by the Illy Fury but couldn’t find it. Found this one though. Any hits by the Peregrine will be the ‘falcon punch’.

Thank you all for the amazing stories. When I did the rough draft of this yoyo with my friend in his apartment mid 2019, we knew it’s an all out competition yoyo that will perform to the highest standard in 2020 and beyond. We want a bird name that resembles the performance and agressiveness. Many names were considered (we even got our next yoyo’s name in the process of naming peregrine) and we weren’t really pleased with the results. However one day I was playing my main game Destiny 2 and one of the exotic armor is named Peregrine Greaves, I instantly searched about peregrine, watched numerous videos and it instantly clicked with me and my player team. The manufacturer team took awhile but after researching we all agree that Peregrine will be the name our newest flagship. We really hope the yoyo lives up to its name and the name lives up to the yoyo. I can’t wait to see the customer feedback later this months.

Fun fact 
: The fastest animal in the world is the Peregrine falcon. The fastest recorded speed of the Peregrine is around 240 mph. That’s a lot faster than a race car in Nascar.
How it hunts is it shoots down from the sky at an unbelievable speed, makes a ball of fist out of its claws, then rams another bird. It moves so fast it then quickly flies back in circle to go and fetch its prey as it is falling from the sky.
How did I know? We went to a birds of prey show in a zoo during the weekend. Man, the stuff you learn every day…

Adam “Crack”! Good guy, I’ve met home a couple times at Texas Renaissance Faire. Incredible with a whip. World record holder I believe.
