Designed within the framework of the JDS series by SUS Mechanics, this creation breathes new life into YoYoFactory’s beloved classic, the “ROCKstar.” While the ROCKstar had already undergone a previous remake, this rendition delves deeper into its roots.
The inaugural Rockstar gained fame through its paradoxical fusion of the classic “Protostar” from the “Death to Metal” series, which was initially conceived as a plastic model surpassing metal yo-yos. Its popularity stemmed from a compelling juxtaposition of contradiction and high performance.
The earlier version’s increased weight imbued it with a metallic strength and stability that resonated with users. This version of the ROCKstar lands in-between the Original and the 2017 version at about 67 grams. Making it feel hefty and solid as the original, yet light enough to maneuver through your most complex yo-yo tricks with ease!
