I can’t say much for fingerspins compared to the original. But, the hub is flat in the middle, then there’s a rounded step. It’s not really a ridge, because it seems to go straight up, rounds off then flattens out on the other side too. It feels like a step, not a bump or ridge. Here’s a pic:

I finally had a chance to play them both. Aviator 2 is a little more stable, it feels a bit more light, and it’s a LOT faster. But, that’s just my opinion. They made one in YoyoExpert colors. I almost fainted! Another shout out to Matt at YYE, because the splash just looks the best! That original Aviator is a 1/1. I can’t believe I have an Aviator colorway twins set now. ;D
