A Special Thanks to YoyoFactory and YoyoExpert!

I was just reading the awesome story in the other thread about the gift Shutter. I have a very neat story of my own about YoyoFactory. Here goes:

YoyoFactory posted on @YoyoFactory Instagram, a photo of all these gorgeous custom Aviators made for Luis. Now, this looks like some sort of oasis, and I’d buy any one of them. But, one stood out, and it was the one that would fit perfectly in my collection. I don’t even have to tell you which one that is. :wink:

I quickly posted that if it didn’t suit Luis, I’d gladly buy that one instead ;D. Several weeks later, I got a message from YoyoExpert that there was a surprise from YoyoFactory coming in the mail. You all know that Andre is my favorite, and in the box was a signed yo-yo bag from him, with the enclosed 1 of 1 Aviator I saw in the Instagram photo. I almost passed out from all the excitement. A gift from my 1A favorite and my 2A favorite…in the same box! Those guys are awesome.

A special thanks to YoyoFactory and YoyoExpert for creating new yoyoers every day. Not just online, but actually traveling around, meeting people, shaking hands, teaching them, and turning them into yoyoers.

YoyoFactory has blown me away with their latest releases, and there is no doubt that they are making some of the best playing, and best looking throws around. Thanks YoyoFactory for all the good vibes. And, thanks for these gorgeous colorways you’re doing. I have been in Splash Game heaven. :slight_smile: Thanks again Fact’ryBen.

Off the top…in a zone:

I was so glad, about all the positive vibes,
Shocked to get a yoyo bag, with Aviator inside.
I had two Aviators, so now I have another,
And what’s greater than one in YoyoExpert colors.
It existed and I knew it, but the color was made for Luis,
I thought any hope of getting that Aviator was foolish.
So, I accepted I would not, get the Aviator and thought,
that I’d have to be happy with the others I bought. :-
I would always wonder about that colored one that I wanted,
Maybe even contact Luis, or buy sell trade hunted.
Hoping that Aviator might still look brand new,
No matter how many players, or what it had been through.
When YoyoExpert wrote me, I got all excited,
No matter how old I get, I’ll always love surprises. :slight_smile:
I was shocked to see that Aviator, it was so great,
I no longer needed to wonder what had been that Aviator’s fate.
How great was the moment, what an intense pleasure,
For YoyoFactory and YoyoExpert to extend this gesture.
It’s just what I needed, and made the TotalArtist happy, ;D
Yet another reason why you gotta love Da Fact’ry.

Peace. 8)

Yoyofactory has always had some of my favorite colorways and finishes

I’ll forever be on the lookout for a spingear 07 888 ;D

Definitely cool of them to be sending people these epic throws though

Yoyofactory are good people, always have been. I think in the long run most yoyo companies are great, even the ones people love to hate (usually the bigger corporate brands), but sometimes a company will go the extra mile to really make a difference in someone’s day and it’s great to hear about these stories. You can’t buy that kind of goodwill, it comes from genuinely loving your customers and loving what you do.

Great stuff. Ben and yyf have been generous many times in the past.

The black/red dragon?

That’s the 08 Spingear. This is the 07, pic courtesy of whoever I stole it from.I’m not certain but I believe this is the only 07 888 I’ve never seen in the wild and at least had a chance to purchase.

That’s awesome! Congratulations! I’ve only had positive experiences with YYF, YYJ, etc…yoyo manufacturers really do care about their consumers. Great stuff all around.

I have to say YYF makes a really great product and YYE is second to none in customer service.

Yoyofactory giving away all those free throws.

The funny thing is Kat was selling one at the end of yoyonations life and I overlooked it before someone else bought it :’(

Cool story TA.

TA is definitely deserving of some YOYO love considering all of the time she’s put into contributing here on the YYE board. It’s definitely a better place with her here. Props to Andre’ and YYF for recognizing her efforts!

Great story, and cool yoyo.

And all those other Aviators!! :o

Noiiiice! :smiley:

Speaking of YYF doing cool things: In 2009 I entered my first trick ladder at BAC. I had a YYF 888 that I had been practicing with for months. YYF Ben was there and I bought this pre-production DV888 before the comp got underway.

I liked it so much I decided to use it for the trick ladder, which at that time was done center stage before the real comp started. I luckily won and got a little prize bag. While walking by the YYF table later, Ben asked what I had won. He poked around in my little plastic sorter case and saw the Hit Man, and Lyn Fury I received, plus my 888, a FH0, and a couple of others I already had. I was telling him that I used the DV888 I bought that morning. Next thing I know, he gives me a B-grade 888, which turns out was the smoothest thing ever, and a Plastic Grind Machine to add to my prize bag. He didn’t have to do that. It was a super cool thing to do, and something I won’t forget.

Here was the haul from that day.

^^^ That’s awesome. I really like that gold dv888.

I remember those 888’s

By far one of the best B grades

Very well said Chimera. I never had the “bigger brand” hangup. YoyoFactory started small, and they put in the hard work to become what they are today. They are also one of the companies giving back the most. It’s something that can’t be denied. They are doing nice things every day, that we never hear about on the forum. I agree, they certainly love what they do, and they’re incredibly good at it.

That was indeed a kind gesture, and I’m sure great things like this happen all the time, especially with YoyoFactory. I never expect them to do anything more than keep the great throws coming, to be honest. They are super busy I’m sure, and it is very cool of them to make someone’s day like that. Thanks for sharing the story. I think they should put that Fact’ry logo on more throws. The only one I have in my collection where it appears is the Doomsday Genesis, and it’s also gold. What a great looking dv888!

The top 10 things I love about YoyoFactory are:

  1. They started small, and put the work in to become what they are today;
  2. They offer lots of variety (shapes, sizes, prices);
  3. They make yo-yos that play well, my favorite features, stable and long spinning;
  4. They are the leading maker of my favorite color scheme;
  5. They have exciting deals throughout the year, teaming up with retailers to offer us more for less. Classic sales like the mystery boxes, pro packs, buy one get one free offers and more.
  6. A great contest team, some of the best like Gentry Stein, Tyler Severance, and Harold Owens.
  7. Their marketing is #1. They are great at letting us know what is coming, and about when we can expect it to appear. Best quality promo videos out there too.
  8. A new focus on value. It appears that with releases like Shutter, CZM8 and Horizon, YYF is giving us great yo-yos at great prices. Even those of us who can afford high priced throws, love a great playing value priced metal yo-yo.
  9. Yoyos made for players…by players. Now, that’s such a cool thing.
  10. They treat the YoyoFactory fans so nice, especially the loyal ones. :wink:
