Yoyo string?

Hey all , hello. I just recently went down a rabbithole over yoyo string and wanted to get out of it . So here goes , what is some good string ? I have a few conditions .

  1. The string must ship worldwide .
  2. If it’s boutique string, it should last for at least 1 to
    2 months per string .
  3. If it’s bulk , it should be under $30 USD for 100 .
  4. Softness isn’t too important, but would be nice.
  5. All recommendations will be looked at , so if your
string doesn’t follow one of these criteria ; I’ll still
    consider it.

Hi

Point 2. is way too subjective to be answered.

Otherwise I would say YYF Poly string, that stuff is like herpes, you find that s**t anywhere.

Zipline ships international, but doesn’t do bulk. They strings are SO good tho, all the blends are fantastic.

I now offer international shipping on Throw-Yo Threads strings, but it’s a bit pricey at $25 flat rate.

personally i strongly second Kyle’s zipline recommendation. absolutely top tier string. with the exception of a couple throws that i prefer different feel/response for, i almost exclusively swear by their executive lites. unbelievably comfy, very soft, not too bouncy, and lasts for months

one thing i will add about zipline is that Jeremy, the owner, is an awesome human being and knows good customer service. if you email him (contact email is on their site) he is perfectly willing to talk through any preferences you have and will help get you the string in hand that suits you. that personal touch means a whole heap to me

Those criteria are pretty broad and/or subjective, which means you’re either not too picky (a good thing) or just don’t know it yet. Expect a wide variety of suggestions. My 2¢:

  • Boutique: Zipline ZS.Air (Exec Lites also good)
  • Bulk poly: Sochi Fat (I personally find it softer than Kitty 1st Class & it’s significantly cheaper)
