Yep, and we’re going to see this more with these models. I think plastic yoyos need a metal bearing seat as well as a metal cap on the inside of the cup to be durable enough.
My 000 has similar cracking in one of the hubs. It’s been played a lot but never bashed into anything other than my hand. Still plays fine. Reminds me of the YYJ days…
