The Lucha Libre was a delrin Throw Down Luchador that was made probably ten or twelve years ago. It had a bad problem with breakage due to thin areas. I’d definitely look into what is a safe thickness. That stuff isn’t cheap so better to not have to toss any bad turns.
Capitalism at it’s finest.

Here it is with mm conversion! Thank you for this handy chart.
2.54mm it is then!
Is there any way to convert my crappy 2D image into a 3D one?
There should be a Revolve tool that can make 3d bodies from the sketches.
Hey, I took your picture and recreated a 3D model out of it for you. Let me know if you want the dwg or stl
Wow nice!
I’ve actually beefed up the rims more since then and made the minimum wall thickness 2.5mm
I see, it’s going to look very cool when you make it. What program are you using?
QCAD. And I’m very rubbish at it.
Every new program has learning curves, you’ll get the hang of it. If you’re having limitations when it comes to the programs capabilities, there are a plethora of CAD programs that are free. I believe Fusion, which is an Autodesk software, has a popular free version (for hobbyists only).
I use AutoCAD which is kind of overkill, but it’s what I have access to. It’s pretty expensive though for a full license.
Can anyone provide a Fusion file that is a starting point for using FH/BigFun guts, or maybe a ProYo transaxel ‘seat’? It’s what I have and can remove to experiment. I’m going to get weird with 3D printing.
You might need to get a set of calipers and measure those guts yourself. Not really aware of one pre-existing.
Well considering this will be the first time even GLANCING at a CAD program, I think I’m in for a lot of learning.
I have the guts for a size C bearing from my first prototype if you’d like that. Or metal drifter guts (Duncan size a bearing).
I’d assume bearing-to-plastic is a bad idea, and I don’t have Drifter Guts sitting around. I’ll have to measure the guts I do have when I can borrow a good set of calipers.
I think I’ll start with the ProYo transaxle. Keep it simple for my first time.
what does the cross-section on that bad boy look like?
Bro… I don’t even know how to get there again lololololol
