In all honesty…what you are feeling there is…very evenly distributed weight. By that I mean, not concentrated in any particular area to enhance this or that aspect of play, but rather it’s merely an even thickness mold that’s injected with plastic. The thickness measurement is more aimed at overall toughness than super performance.

The neat thing about an xt is you can technically play with the weight a bit. It’s fairly mod friendly.

I thought about finding a weight ring that would add about 1 gram per half. No too much, but it would add just that ever so slight leaning toward the rim

I saw there’s Aluminum Performance Rings that Duncan released at some point. I may try those if I can find a set.

Put those weight rings in tandem with a Duncan spacer kit if you can find them, and you have yourself an interesting unresponsive wide XT
