what the heck is with youtube popping up like 20 seconds before a video ends saying swipe for next video!? man thats annoying, esp during the slowmo part of a tutorial. its also bad for content creators wanting ppl to watch the whole video. not really sure who benefits from that feature.
I’m sure there’s a way to disable it and ill look when i get back home later today. I’m just venting on the way out the door 
I think the incessant ads are more annoying. I’ve taken to downloading the video before I watch. Solves the problem.
I quit using YT and most Google services months ago (for many reasons). I much prefer to support “alternative” platforms like Rumble and Odysee.
If you need/want YT, check out NewPipe, FreeTube, PeerTube, etc. You’ll have to support the creators through other means, but they’re great ways to watch.

they would be, I’m sure. I’ve had youtube red for years since i started getting youtube music and its a bundle. it honestly takes someone mentioning the ads before i remember they exist. ignorance is bliss lol

But do you remember when the “Subscribe” button was yellow? it wasn’t that long ago, but few people my age remember.
my only problem with youtube rn is it kept recommending me videos like hawk of utah, or dirtbike gooning, and skibidi titled video, THAT ARE POSTED OVER 15 YEARS AGO!!! other than that the ad is obnoxious on tv app, literally 2 unskippable ads with 30 second length each, FOR A 5 SECONDS SHITPOST!!!
The dang suggested video overlay that pops up in the last 15 seconds of a video is also super freaking annoying. Especially when the video has text or a detail they are showing off. You can’t close it, it just covers the content.
I had actually forgotten about that somehow. “Rate, comment, and subscribe” is still burned in my memory, though. Now there’s not even a dislike button, because it might hurt someone’s feelings
