How tall are you and based on your belly button, how low or how long is your string when your yoyo is touching the ground? For example, I am 5’9 and my string is about 1 1/2 inches above my belly button.

my string length differs on what yoyo i’m using and what i feel like.
5’4, 1 inch above my belly button. Short string ftw
I’m 5’ 11" and I use full length kitty
I mostly use string thats taller than me. So a bit more than 4 feet. ;D
6’ 2’’. I use stock length slick 6 and slick 8. Usually comes to about 2" below my navel.
Honestly. Cut the string for your fancy.
These pop up all the time And every time my length preference chances. As I become more advance I become comfortable with the string i have and desire more.
I am 5’9 and when I started I cut just under my belly button, now I am cutting just under my chest.
Note: this is for 1A for looping I still cut at belly button or a little above, btw I like how jhon said “naval” there is just something a little off about a bunch of guys talking about their belly buttons lol
