you know what? Ima send this to Andre. Though we need a final âcopyâ something we can all agree on. How about this:
Cabin Leader Requirements:
â˘Must Be Sponsored
â˘Can âleadâ and take control over the group
â˘at least 18! No older than 25. Unless thereâs a âspecialâ exception (i.e, Zammy, Nathan Crissey, and any other ânonâ creeper older players)
â˘Has to stay the whole camping trip.
General Camp:
â˘Tents/Cabins
â˘Must be at a private, rented, camp ground site.
â˘Must provide food
â˘Trip will last 5 days, in the summer around the hottest time of year.
â˘Needs to have a lake, river, pool, etc. just somewhere to swim.
â˘Need to rent showers and bathrooms!
â˘Host? I think Andre would be the perfect guy for the job. Any other suggestions?
Camp Events:
â˘1st day: Introduce your self! Meet players, buy yoyos, get auto graphs, hang out.
â˘2-3 days: Plan a 4-6 person routine, based in style of play(no limits, no divisions, just a battle of the cabin leaders. All styles if play welcome!) Bring song you wanna play and vote in your group.
â˘4 day: Hiking Trip! Take a break from practicing and go hike!
â˘5 day: performing day! Prizes include:
1st place: big trophies for each group member, a high end metal yoyo(for each player), small cash prize($100) and a T-Shirt
2nd Place: Medals for each group member, high end plastic yoyo(for each group member) , small cash prize($50)
3rd place: Medals, High end plastic yoyo (for each group member), T shirt.
I could go in further but I have to sleep. Ill continue this on tomorrow.
You realize Andre is 28 rightâŚ? I donât think your going to get anywhere calling people over 25 creepy and old but besides that it looks good I think it should be all tents just saying and I donât like the idea of having is so that they compete as a group because some people might not be comfortable getting up on stage I think it should just be individuals and then the first 3 days are like the introduce yourself ect 4th day is Prelims and day 5 we have finals hand out the prizes but I donât think the cash prize is necessary and then there could be a huge grillout and then go home the next day
Meet at a park or community center kind of thing. This would be an activity that is done through the City or some sort of services district thing. It would be pre-paid.
1 1/2-hour session every day for 2 weeks with high instructor to student ratio. It includes either a yoyo that can go from responsive to unresponsive, or two yoyos, one being each way. Cost would be reduced for those providing their own yoyo. The idea would be to have a trick ladder and learn as many tricks as possible, with a test at the end.
The idea needs work but I donât have the time for it for the moment.
this sounds a little crazy I was just hoping for a couple of days where I can just meet people and have a good time yoyoing not Jesse stilt a contest. And also what if some people donât want to perform? And what if on the 4th day instead of going hiking what if when just went swimming for the day and maybe do a quick hike or go canoeing? And also with the performance thing what if everyone got some nice Yoyo and a t-shirt and called it a day. And also I think a BBQ sounds awesome! On that same day!
Nobody would be able to do a day camp because unless you live bear it your not going to go to a day camp aLOT more people would be willing to make a drive if it was overnight
exactly the point on why this has to be huge! Personally, I wouldnât fly around the world just so I can sleep on the cold ground, surrounded by wildlife, sharing the tent with 3 other people, near a lake where predators hunt down their prey. I really donât see why we are making a huge deal out of competing, if you donât wanna compete in the camp, them donât. But I are no point in paying $100 to not compete in the end.
