Mine finally arrived, yes, yes I lived and loved this forum passage and we trully made history together. October 31 I snaged mine, with a Kamuraiju and they are finally here:
Finally got mine after moving from Japan over the last month or so, and I had to add it to this thread since it’s a product of it. Really like it and understand the hype behind it. I also understand the criticisms, but its positives outweigh any negatives.
Love mine! It didn’t initially live up to the hype, but absolutely does now. It’s a little heavier than average, but spins like a bimetal. Gray looks great with any string, too
It’s a preference thing, but it’s such a good throw. Mine with Sochi XL spins for a very long time and has super snappy binds without snags. The edges can be sharp sometimes, but nothing crazy. All in all, I switch to mine when I want spin time, stability and a more compact throw—the same thing I look for with my Grasshopper GTX. I had to give mine about two weeks before feeling the way I do about it now, but that’s kind of standard for me.
As a relative newbie unfamiliar until recently with the Top Deck’s reputation, I went for it based on pretty colors tbh. It feels great. I am practicing a reverse gt rejection and it’s a good shape for rejections. I’m still terrible at them but I will figure it out eventually. Kind of blasphemous perhaps but I might throw a center track or concave bearing in it see how it goes. I’m still not sure what my bearing shape preferences are, but maybe every yoyo has a different perfect bearing for it.
