yeah i got one but its super sharp. literally hurts to play unfortunately. otherwise i would have loved it to be my main throw
Iâd take one that said âHey, Thatâs a Baseball!â
I donât know if Iâd straight up buy a yoyo with an anime girl in a bikini or something and I think waifu culture is kinda cringe, but if we can have more mascots or just cool characters on yoyos that would be cool.
I kinda hate buying yoyos without any engravings on them, how the hell am I supposed to remember what the name of your blank solid color generic yoyo is 10 years down the line.
Something like spiralâs mascot or even
@eatpotaro 's pfp Sakamoto are/would be great on yoyos
oh my god youre so right! i need to find a way i get sakamoto on my yoyo
That could be dope. The new hydrangea yoyo has a character on it and that seems exactly like what youre talking about
Laser engraving? or take a Sharpie to it and (potentially) ruin it.
theres a certain japanese yoyo store that has a section dedicated specifically for yoyos with anime motifs on them, just saying if anyone is interested enough to go take a look.
also on the topic of anime engravings from the viewpoint of an elder weeb. It has to be done tastefully and properly. My pet peeve with complicated engraving designs is that not every complex graphic is made to be an engraving and illustrators sometimes dont make thier designs with the mindset of them being basically a monogram, so things end up being an illegible mess. Also dont come to me with corny anime stuff. Do it tastefully and we are good.

The term âwaifuâ is derived from the English word âwifeâ and is commonly used in the anime and manga community to refer to female characters that someone has a strong affection for or sees as a significant other, even though they are fictional.
Honestly, Iâd rather have a throw with Calcifer from Howlâs Moving Castle, or an Ohmu from Nausicaa. A robot from Castle in the Sky would be awesome, too!
SOOT SPRITES!
unknown x soot spritesâŠi have a new purpose in life
character goods when theyâre for a character or done by an artist you genuinely like is cool, but just buying things with random anime girls on them just because âanimeâ is kinda lame and tacky imo
yoyos also just donât feel like a good canvas for normal 2D illustrations anyway, too many curves/angles/cuts that morph the illustration in ways that werenât intentional and considered, and then all of the limitations that come with engraving. Caps solve these issues pretty well though.
I wouldnt consider this a âwaifuâ as that has a specific connotation but @mag does great art and I would never hesitate to put more of their work on our designs
I like engravings that complements the design of the yoyo. Caps with a busy design can be cool, but itâs kind of in an ironic Y2K nostalgia way.
i need to find them, whatâre they called?
iâd absolutely consider them waifu imo, i sorta just mean in that anime art style. and i want one so bad but iâm so broke
i do like that one. i thought it was sick and very tastefully done
Your best bet will be on the BST for the Mag artwork ones, we are officially fresh out of this version
