Maybe you’ve heard of Lucky Meisenheimer.
He’s also the author of Lucky’s Collectors Guide to 20th Century Yo-Yos presumably based on his vast collection… and speaking of … here’s a recent video tour of his collection… enjoy!

When Worlds was in Orlando every year he’d throw a huge bbq at his crazy lake house. We’d check out his collection, he’d have a 15s of fame contest, all the super old school guys would be around and you could chill and chat w them… one of those things I didn’t think I’d miss about Worlds in Orlando but actually kind of do.
He’s a funny guy, I didn’t realize he was also a champion swimmer and wrote a sci-fi novel!
He has a lake-swim he does like every week and always held it during Worlds. It’s like a 2 mile swim or something and you sign his wall if you make it. Always wanted to do it but never… wanted to drown and be eaten by a gator. His kid’s an all-American water-polo player too.
Related to this, Lucky’s yo-yo history page is kind of amazing.
I have the book!
Lucky’s house is kind of amazing (or it was last time I was there, which was at least 10 years back).
Lol OF COURSE Eric Wolff is visible in the first pic chatting with Lucky. There’s another guy with an amazing collection!
I was lucky enough to get to experience that. I’ll never forget his house!
