Okay, so it’s been 2 days that i ran out of string… I ordered a pack of kitty but they wont be here till today 6pm…And boy am I going crazy here. I’ve got absolutely no string…I even threw away my dead strings… i haven’t played for 2 days and im experiencing near withdrawal symptoms… Have any of you guys had a similar experience?..should I be cutting down my time playing with a yoyo?
Don’t cut down on playing! Learn to make strings!
A little spool of polyester thread could make plenty of string to get you through hard times… Or, you could save money and use your own string exclusively! It’s awesome!
Make strings, and when you see you’re getting low on strings, buy some more. That way when you do run out, you’ll have a fresh pack waiting for you.
This sounds horrible. I usually keep a reserve of stock strings that come with my yo-yos. I only use black, so all other strings go into the reserve. It’s like preparing for a storm, you have to stay stocked up for hard times. I put the reserve in a plastic container for emergencies.

I go through the string I have very slowly, so I won’t know. Totalartist that is quite the back-up supply.
Yeah, it’s grown over the years, for sure. You might even notice a few rejected black strings among them. I didn’t like the feel too much, so they went into reserve too.

you can’t yoyo too much, unless it’s cutting into the time you spend with your kids/distracting you from school/distracting you from important work.
anyway, always buy a pack of strings when you have like five strings left. then, you’re all set until the pack of strings come.
I do make my own strings on occasion, but my motor broke and making it by hand would have taken too much time…
I wanted to ask you this TA …why only black?and what’s with the double loop round the bearing?..Most players use a neon string so that it is visible in front of their black clothing…is it vice versa for you?
I’ll run out of my favorite string (Yo Yo String Lab Ammo, Ann Connolly Pool Party edition) but I also have a 100 pack of Kitty String normal, a 100 pack of 50/50 for looping, a 10 pack of Kitty 1.5, a vial of Venom String, a pack of twisted strings, and all the free strings that came with my yoyos.
So no, I probably won’t run out soon. ;D

I’ve made 35 strings last 3 years. Don’t throw out “dead strings”. I find old strings whip better actually.
10 cloud strings and 10 packs of BG1 Yellow Jackets. Im set for a couple years. I find its better to find longer lasting strings. I really find them to be worth the cost and effort to find.
I like the look of black string, that’s why it’s my favorite. The loop, well, that looks good too.
