Who here has a rare General Yo USA Edition Hatrick?

It’s like one of those movies, where you have the Champion racecar driver, unbeatable, invincible on the track. Then, he’s forced into retirement before ever getting that really big win. So he tucks his old racecar away in the garage and goes about getting a normal job, family, just fitting in to the daily grind on office life.

Days turn to months, months turn to years. Dust sets in, and all his dreams fade away into distant memory. Until one day, when he’s starting to get old and grey, he gets a phone call from his old manager.

“Jimmy, it’s the Kings Derby this Saturday and our driver just broke his leg. We need you back”

Jimmy looks out his window and gazes at the old dusty garage.

“Danny, you know I’m not in the game anymore. Thats all behind me now. Im sorry.”

He hangs up the phone. He goes to put it back on the receiver, but he hesitates, and glances out at the garage again. He shakes his head and puts down the phone.

That night he lies awake in bed. Unable to sleep. Thinking. The sun begins to rise on the new day.

He gets out of bed and walks to the garage. He slowly lifts the door to find the old car, covered in a sheet. All cobweb ridden and thick with dust, left to the elements for years. He pulls the sheet off and the shine of the old cars paint sparkles in the rising sun.

He walks down the side of the car, running his fingers along the body, we cut to scenes of his trophies lining the walls and in the background we hear the crowd shouting his name and announcers announcing his victories. He closes his eyes and smiles as the memories come flooding back. Cue cutscenes of him standing on podiums and throwing his hands into the air.

Dramatic, emotional music plays and he opens the door and sits inside. He grips the steering wheel and flexes his fingers, the leather wheel creaks under his grip as as his body begins to remember the strength and the power it once had behind the wheel.

He smiles, as he turns the key to the ignition and the roar of the engine echoes through the morning air.

Cut to black as the roar of the engine echoes

This is pretty much what it’ll be like when Jason dusts off his old anodising buckets. The Champ, back on the track once again.
