So I’ve been through yotricks and have watched matio. It seems like players nowadays are doing all these fancy whip or catch with the string tricks. I’ve been wondering where I could find a collection of tricks in this style of play… Of the two sites mentioned, although there are some whip elements in a few of the tricks, the majority of the tricks are not styled in this way as they shouldn’t be anyway for basic yoyo.

Aaahhh I don’t really get what you mean can give an example from a freestyle?
any pro freestyle. They do moves where they throw the string at the yoyo or throw the yoyo and catch it on loop of string like you see in iron/jade whips/types of hooks/brent stole esk catches. Just wish I had more tutorials to watch with these types of tricks they always look so cool.
