and does it effect HOW you throw? My order of preference is 1) Out in the yard - plenty of soft grass. No stress & I can try new stuff without fear of damage. 2) In-doors over carpet. 2nd best, but still a small chance of a ding (coffee table leg…) 3) Anywhere else, or over an unforgiving surface (concrete). I don’t have too much of a problem with this, but it’s Always in my mind when I’m throwing- I use a longer than average string length. I would not try anything new & I feel like I’m tempting fate. It does give me a weird sense of … pride? … that I can walk into the valley of death & survive unscathed, so there’s that.
I realize a scuffed or dinged throw isn’t the end of the world, but I like to keep my stuff looking new.
Also, if it matters, I’m a 0a type, so 0 mounting or string tricks for me, just smooth, slow, hop the fence into loops type stuff. Incidentally, If you have not tried the Origen & liked the Luminator, I highly recommend it!
Have a Great day my dudes!
