Is a straight sleeper necessary

So I’ve realised that when I throw my yo-yo it is straight but usually due to luck I don’t have a proper technique th throw straight meaning sometimes doing the trapeze, trapeze and brother can be hard as the yo-yo just tillts like crazy.

You can learn tilt correction. Once in trapeze, push or pull your throw hand string into the YoYo to create friction on “high” side to level it out.

Quick, someone link that video about breakaways

It takes time to get it straight and stronger. This video might help..

you’ll get better after you’ve thrown 10000 or so of em during play. i personally wouldn’t recommend spending a huge amount of time over thinking it. just find a comfortable way to throw a breakaway and then just make sure when you do it how you’re comfortable that it’s in plane as it leaves your hand. tilt correction will come naturally and even as you get more comfy with the throw you’ll occasionally throw a bonkers one outta plane and you’ll correct during the trick without even thinking

I agree, learn the basics and then don’t focus too hard on mastering them, you’ll get it with practice when doing other tricks. Things like breakaways, trapezes and sleepers will all subconscious improve and correct throughout your lifetime of yoyoing by just doing them thousands of times. Obsessing over small details early on like that drives you crazy. Take it from someone who strived way to hard for perfection
