While we’re on the topic of breakaways. A very common thing that some online yoyo tutorials teach is to make a muscle
to throw a breakaway. That Brandon Vu video above breaks down the difference in what I mean. I know Gentry Steins tutorial shows the muscle way. It causes you to have to look the direction you are throwing when you do a breakaway. I learned that way at first and had to unlearn it about a year or so in. It’s really hard to break certain yoyo habits once you get them in your muscle memory. I really didn’t have to unlearn it but I wanted to. It’s all about fun in the end.
